The primary function of the Working Group is to develop policy for the Council by:

• Identifying issues of importance
• Providing an analytical framework for the issues and obtaining feedback from Council members
• Synthesizing the feedback into a position paper
• Identifying for the EFSC Board issues where consensus was not reached

The second function is to draw upon the advocacy skills of the Working Group to present the positions adopted by the Council to federal and state legislatures and regulatory bodies, and the courts.

The Working Group meets every Friday at 1717 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC, and by teleconference for those unable to attend in person, at 11:00 a.m. ET for approximately one hour, or as scheduled.
